London in 1946 only recovered from the terrible consequences of the Second World War. Juliet has been doing her best for what time now to find inspiration for her new book. Many topics seem to her absolutely inappropriate or simply boring, but there is no desire to write about the war itself. But help came from where they did not expect – one pig farmer from the island of Guernsey sent a letter to the girl. His name is Dawsi, and he briefly told the story of a literary club at a time when the island was under occupation. Juliet decides to visit that place to learn more about the Club of lovers of books and pies of potato peel. These people and their stories will inspire the writer to a new book.
